Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Functional Payroll Consultant to support payroll system implementation, configuration, and process optimization for client environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in payroll processing and systems, with a deep
understanding of statutory compliance and integrations with HR and finance modules.

Key Responsibilities
 Gather and analyze business requirements related to payroll processing and compliance.
 Configure payroll rules, pay components, pay groups, and calendars in alignment with organizational policies and statutory requirements.
 Support end-to-end payroll operations including pre-payroll, payroll run, and post-payroll activities.
 Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams for accurate data flow between HRIS, time tracking, and payroll systems.
 Perform functional testing and support UAT for payroll-related features and enhancements.
 Troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and resolve issues through root cause analysis.
 Ensure compliance with applicable local labor laws, tax regulations, and audit controls.
 Create and maintain functional documentation including configuration guides, SOPs, and test scripts

Required Skills
 2–4 years of relevant functional experience in Payroll on platforms such as Workday, SAP, Oracle HCM, ADP, UKG, or Ramco.
 Strong knowledge of Indian payroll processing, tax computations, statutory deductions (PF, ESI, PT, LWF), and compliance reporting.
 Experience in configuring pay elements, earnings, deductions, and retro calculations.
 Understanding of integration points between payroll, time tracking, HR, and finance modules.
 Ability to handle payroll reconciliations, audit queries, and statutory filings.
 Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
 Effective documentation and communication skills for stakeholder collaboration.
 Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accuracy and responsibility in a dynamic client- facing environment.
 Workday Certification is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications
 Experience with global payroll or multi-country payroll implementations.
 Exposure to payroll integrations with ERP or third-party vendors.
 Experience with payroll compliance tools and reporting engines.
 Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or a related field.
